Update to Examinations for Summer 2021

As you may have seen, the Department for Education recently announced that GCSE and A-level exams will go ahead next summer. Students and teachers will be given more time to prepare for them, to help make up for the disruption caused by the pandemic.

The main summer exam series will start on 7th June 2021 and end on 2nd July for almost all subjects. However, one GCSE English and one GCSE maths paper will be scheduled before the summer half term, to give students affected by Covid the best chance of being able to sit at least one paper in these two qualifications.

The exam boards have now published their timetables and you can view the timetable for exams to be taken at Highfield here.

Results days will be a little later than usual - on Tuesday 24 August for A-levels, and Friday 27 August for GCSEs.

Mock Examinations

Year 13 formal mock examinations will take place during the week beginning 8th February 2021

You can find a copy of the mock exam timetable here.

There will be study leave for all subjects EXCEPT Art & Design (Fine Art, Graphics, Photography and Textiles).  If you take any of these subjects you should attend your normal lessons between exams.  All other lessons will be suspended for the week.
