It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our school. We are an exciting and ambitious school where all students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
The Highfield School is a place driven by values; we aim to provide the very best quality teaching and learning and place students at the heart of all we do. We have an excellent reputation for both academic and pastoral excellence. We have high standards and expectations and offer a relevant and challenging curriculum. We expect all our students to work very hard but recognise that the very best learning takes place when it is harnessed to interest and enjoyment.
We offer a happy environment and a positive learning atmosphere where staff and students enjoy working and learning together. We are very proud of the excellent relationships that exist between staff and students and firmly believe that this provides a safe and secure learning environment. These relationships are based on respect and consideration for others.
We are immensely proud of the achievements of all our students and celebrate their successes at every opportunity. These successes are built on a genuine partnership between students, the school, parents and the community.
From 1st April 2013 we became a Co-operative Trust school - part of the Letchworth Garden City Education Partnership - which is providing many exciting opportunities for our staff and students to work with our partner organisations. We are also part of a newly formed Teaching Alliance with other schools across North Hertfordshire.
This web site, together with our school prospectus, outlines some of the many aspects of our work. In addition, I would be delighted to answer any questions you may have. Please email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or telephone (01462 620500) and I look forward to sharing more information with you about the school and the progress we are making.
