House System

Our Houses are named after inspirational individuals who were leaders in their field, strivers, achievers and positive role models.

Our students chose the shortlist and voted for the six House namesakes:

HOUSES

Embodying the values and ethos of our school, they are an integral part of our school community.

On joining The Highfield School, students are allocated to a House and families are informed of this before transition day. The colour of the school badge on their jumper denotes the House to which they belong:

Throughout the year, students are encouraged to earn House points and take part in a variety of inter-house competitions and challenges. The winning House is awarded the House Cup during the final assembly and celebrates with a special afternoon event.

Students in Years 7 to 11 can also apply to become House Representatives for their tutor group, contributing to House activities and student leadership opportunities. In the Sixth Form, students can take on further responsibility by becoming House Leaders.

All members of staff are also associated with a House, helping to strengthen the sense of community and belonging across the school.
